Product Description:
Lactic Acid 80% is a concentrated Alpha Hydroxy Acid used in cosmetic formulations for exfoliation, skin smoothing, pH adjustment, and moisturising support. It helps loosen dead skin cells from the skin surface, promoting a softer, smoother, and more refined skin appearance. It is also valued for its humectant properties, helping support skin hydration in properly formulated products.

Formulation Note:
Since this raw material is 80% active, calculate the active acid level correctly. For example, 10% Lactic Acid 80% in a formula gives approximately 8% active Lactic Acid.
How to Use in Formulation:
Add to the water phase or cool-down phase and mix until fully incorporated. Always check and adjust the final product pH. Neutralisers such as sodium hydroxide solution, potassium hydroxide solution, or triethanolamine may be used carefully to raise pH where needed.
Compatibility:
Compatible with water-based formulas, gels, lotions, creams, cleansers, and toners. Avoid combining with too many strong exfoliating acids or irritating actives in the same formula unless professionally formulated.
Caution:
Lactic Acid 80% is highly acidic and may cause skin or eye irritation if used incorrectly. Handle with gloves and eye protection. Do not apply the raw material directly to the skin. Finished products containing AHAs should include a sunburn alert and advise users to apply sunscreen during the day.
