PQ10, commonly known as Polyquaternium-10, is a water-soluble cationic conditioning polymer widely used in haircare, skincare, and cleansing formulations. It helps improve product texture, gives a smooth silky feel, reduces static, and enhances conditioning performance in shampoos, conditioners, body washes, facial cleansers, and leave-in products.

PQ10 helps improve hair softness, manageability, and combability. In shampoos and cleansing products, it gives a smoother after-feel and helps reduce the drying effect of surfactants. It also improves slip, supports mildness, and can slightly enhance viscosity depending on the formula.

Formulation Tips:
Disperse slowly into water while mixing to avoid clumping. It can also be pre-mixed with glycerin or another suitable humectant before adding to the water phase. Allow enough time for full hydration before continuing with the formula.
