Product description
Rose Buds are carefully dried, unopened or partially opened flowers of Damask rose. They retain a characteristic floral aroma and pink-to-deep-red appearance, making them suitable for fragrancing, decoration and botanical texture in cosmetic and personal-care products.
For cosmetic labelling, unopened rose buds are generally treated as flower material and declared as Rosa Damascena Flower.

Applications
Suitable for bath salts, bath teas, soaps, body scrubs, facial masks, cleansing powders, potpourri, botanical sachets, infused oils and decorative personal-care products.
Formulation guidance
Finely grind and sieve rose buds before using them in facial products. Whole buds and coarse particles can feel abrasive and are generally better suited to bath products or decorative applications.
Rose buds may turn brown, fade or lose their fragrance when exposed to heat, light, moisture or high-pH soap formulations. Dried botanicals can also introduce microorganisms into water-based products; use cosmetic-grade material, suitable preservation and microbial testing.
Naturally occurring fragrant compounds may cause sensitivity in some individuals. Patch testing is advisable for products intended for sensitive skin.
